After playing Resistance 2, I got somewhat inspired by the Orick map. The end result turned out almost nothing like the map it was based on though. This ended up being my most popular map, not really my favorite actually.
I liked the forest/logging site theme of the map in Resistance 2, roughly that's exactly what made it in... not too much else. Anyway, the basic layout is one side (the logging site), a river in between, and the other side (the lodge). It kinda turns into a bottleneck unless people really try to go around the sides or stay hidden. The most immediate and obvious route is straight through the middle and thus is the route paved with the most bodies. There is a single truck on either side solely for the purpose of rushing through the center in a mad hurry. Lots of custom work decorates the entire map. Custom log cabins and water mill in the center, custom sawmill and bulldozers as well. Fun map for rather small games, 8 - 12 is pretty good, any more and it gets too hectic in my opinion.
